Hands up if you love Ketchup!!

Published:

Well I have to be honest I don’t. What I here you cry, how can you not like Ketchup? Well in truth I have never liked Ketchup, ever since being a young child I preferred mayo. I find Ketchup too sweet and sickly, so you can imagine my slight lack of optimism that another Ketchup company was trying to convince me that their product would change my opinion forever. Sceptical I most definitely was, open minded as always.

When the lovely Frankie and Desiree sent me a sample bottle of each of their products I decided to start small and work up to the fancy recipes, you know just in case I didn’t like them I could scrape it off my food. As you may be able to tell if you follow my IG or social media feed, I have become a bit of a fan, I know, I know, how could this be?

Well the fact of the matter is that a product born of an excess crop of beetroot and apples has won my heart.

They started by finding and growing things to eat in their own garden and, in the process, exploring ways to preserve their produce. The Foraging Fox Beetroot Ketchup started out as a kitchen project with Frankie’s kids to find a way to use their bumper crops of apples and beetroot!

There are 3 varieties in the range currently smoked, hot and original, but what makes this Ketchup so special and truly delicious?

Well firstly they use only the finest ingredients and cooking methods, I love the fact that the Ketchups are 100% natural with no artificial sweeteners, colours or flavours, certified Gluten Free, suitable for vegans and Vegetarian Society approved – meaning everyone can enjoy them. The full range is free from all allergens as well as being certified Gluten free by the coeliac Society.

They have no online shop to buy from them directly but the postcode search is very quick and easy to use. Luckily for me Blacker Hall Farm Shop is a stockist and its not too far from me at all. Their products are also available from all Planet Organic, Lakeland and Ocado.

I love the ideas and recipes on their website, I have to admit I haven’t as found anything that they don’t go with. I particularly love adding the sauce to my goats cheese and walnut vegetarian burger.

Check out the website or follow them on social media and let us know what you think, be quick though as I think this product will be taking off and fast.
