2 of my Fave Grape Tree cupboard staples!

Published:

As if you hadn’t already noticed, one of my favourite go to brands are GrapeTree Foods. They sell an amazing array of nuts, seeds, spices, superfoods, dried fruits, flours, teas, and chocolate. All of their products are tremendous quality that won’t break the bank. There are hundreds of shops akin to Aladdin’s cave for any serious foodie or health fan. If you can’t find one of these cavernous delights there is the on line store to boot. They even offer free delivery on orders of a certain value.
The generous guys at GrapeTree were amazing to get involved with my #BestFit30 competition recently by donating large quantities of goji berries and raw cacao nibs for all 3 prize winners.

Now, I am not sure if you are a regular user of raw cacao nibs but depending upon the make they can taste anywhere between wood chipping from a carpenters mount to Peruvian slithers of pure luxury. GrapeTree foods is the fortunately the latter and when you open the packet the delicate aroma consumes your airways and senses. Raw, dark, aromatic artisan characteristics are encapsulated in tiny shards of sugarless chocolatesque delicatessens. They can add sweetness to a smoothie, breakfast bowl or a raw vegan cookie. To add to the tempting richness of the slivers, they may inject a dose of phenols and antioxidants which could help to enhance your cognitive function, heart health, and they also may be a sexual aphrodisiac.

The goji berries are sweet and chewy in texture. They remind me of those little sweets you used to buy by the quarter in the sweet shop. High in vitamin C they can boost your immune system and help you to overcome colds and flu. They are a delicious alternative to a vitamin C tablet thats for sure. Again they are such a versatile addition to your store cupboard, easily being incorporated into any breakfast or smoothie bowl. I used these as part of my post op recovery when I had my breast cancer operation. My Mother in Law had discovered the store on one of her outings and knowing that I have a penchant for the unusual and for healthy foods, she adeptly picked up several essential supplies and some more unusual additions. One of my favourite recipes was a salmon curry with goji berries. Such a great flavour combination but high in omegas and vitamins to help support the immune system and assist the bodies repair following the operation and subsequent tissue trauma. I consistently use both of these products and would rarely see a day pass by without at least one product from GrapeTree foods adorning my menu and meal prep.

If you haven’t visited them yet I could not recommend them any more than I do already. Their products are not in fancy packaging but I am more concerned with the contents rather than the prettiness of the packet on my pantry shelf. The prices are extremely reasonable and allow the use by almost every consumer. They are not an exclusively priced product that demands the shelves of Harvey Nichols or Selfridges, however, a more decadent product you would struggle to find.

Please let me know if you try anything from their range and I would love to hear your feedback.
